This tour is our typical 5-day safari Kenya that involves wildlife game viewing in a safari van or jeep with a break that involves boat safari in Kenya as well as walking safari. This makes it an incredible five days Kenyan adventure for the first timer and seasoned safari goer a like.
It is best to start early from Nairobi so you will need to spend a night at Nairobi prior to the start of the safari, but you can also start the safari straightaway on arrival in case your flight is arriving Nairobi early in the morning. That is also possible. Ask our Kenya safari specialists for advice on whether you can start on arrival. This Kenya Safari tour will also end in the late afternoon.
5-Day Safari Kenya; Best time to Visit
The best time to take this 5 days Kenya Safari is during the dry season, that also coincides with the arrival of the Wildebeests migration herds; between the months of July to end of September. October to December and there after January to March are also good months to visit the parks.
April & May sees a lot of rainfall in these Parks and it is advisable to avoid this period if you can avoid but if you want to take advantage of the lowest ‘Green Season’ accommodation prices, then this would your best time to go on this 5 days safari in Kenya.
Where this 5-Day safari Kenya takes you
This Five-day safari in Kenya starts and ends at Nairobi City; the base town for all the best safaris in the Northern as well as Southern Kenya safari circuits. Kenya is a beautiful country and an iconic destination for wildlife safaris in Africa. Two parks standout as the most famous parks for wildlife safari; Amboseli National Park & the Masai Mara National Reserve. This 5 days Kenyan adventure takes you to both.
The tour itinerary starts with a visit to Amboseli National Park, a rather small but incredibly beautiful park famous for all the ‘PostCard’ Photos that you may see in the world; featuring elephants with an amazing view of The Mount Kilimanjaro National Park as the backdrop.
The larger Amboseli Ecosystem is an important area for wildlife conservation with large herds of elephants famous for their extraordinarily large tusks among other large animals. Amboseli has marshy areas and a lake an important habitat for the aquatic birds, but the park is a birding hub in general.
This safari also takes you to Lake Naivasha one of the Rift Valley lakes of Kenya where you will get out of the car / jeep and go on a boat ride in the Lake Naivasha. You will also visit Crescent Island where you will do a walking safari. The 5 days Kenya safari ends with a visit to the most iconic of them all; The Masai Mara National Reserve for the Big Five and Wildebeests Migration Safari.
