This is a combination of wildlife safari into the African wilderness including a visit to the world famous Masai Mara Game and the birders haven of lake Nakuru National Park before flying out to the Coast for your Beach extension.

Honeymoon in Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National park is home to the white rhinos as well as the colorful flocks of flamingos (flocks depend on water levels). Other animals are in abundance in this popular park that is located in the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Kenya Honeymoon in Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara is the best wildlife area in Kenya and probably the most famous wildlife reserve in Africa and a visit to this park is a bonus to the honeymooners. Unlike the national parks, Masai Mara is a ‘game reserve’ which means that you can will have many options that will spice up your honeymoon. These includes Bush breakfasts., Bush Dinners, Sundowners and walking safaris guided by Masai Warriors. Apart from the traditional game drives in the Masai Mara, you will also have an option to go on a hot air balloon safari and enjoy game viewing from aloft.

Diani Beach Honeymoon in Kenya

Being a private tour that is flexible we can include any other hotel in Diani Beach or Mombasa, but also Malindi Beach if that is your favorite honeymoon beach destination in Kenya.

11 Days Kenya Honeymoon Safari and Beach ; Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Nairobi

On your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to the The Tribe Hotel in Nairobi for your first overnight stay. The representative will go through your safari program with you and then leave you to relax.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari starts with a drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. We will have a brief stop at the view point on the Rift valleys escarpment and arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for a sumptuous lunch at the lodge then head to the wilderness for game drives for the whole afternoon. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for many animal species including the rare species of the Rothschild giraffes, and white rhinos but also as a birders haven. The lake is famous for its colorful sightings of the soaring flamingos. Later in the afternoon you will check back into your lodge dinner and overnight. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge / Deluxe Rooms. All meals included.

Day 3

Naivasha – Masai Mara

Breakfast at leisure at the lodge then after breakfast we check out of the lodge and head to Elsamere at Lake Naivasha another beautiful lake at the floor of the rift valley. At Elsamere we have lunch and go for a short boat ride in the Lake Naivasha then head to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arriving later in the afternoon we drive to the Safari camp with game drives on the way. Overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp or Masai Mara Serena Safari Lodge. All meals included.

Day 4 & 5

Masai Mara Safari

Private Bush breakfast will be served before going out for a morning game drive in the Masai Mara plains. We will do game drives in search of the Masai Mara big cats; the lions, cheetahs, and elusive leopards and well as the many species of the plain game including the zebras, buffaloes, elephants, topis, wildebeests, warthogs, hartebeests, impalas and many others. Lunch can be taken at the lodge/ camp and after a short rest we go for the sunset game drive. A visit to a Masai village is also an option if you so wish.

You will spend the next two days in the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve doing safari game drives with two full board overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp or Masai Mara Serena Safari Lodge. All meals included.

Day 6

Masai Mara – fly to Diani Beach

On this morning we can go for an early morning game drive if you wish and after breakfast we spend some time at the lodge before checking out and heading to the airstrip for your flight to Diani (Ukunda Airstrip) in the Kenyan South Coast. On arrival you will be transferred to the The Sands at Nomad at Diani beach for your beach extension..

Day 7 - 10

Diani Beach

These days will be spent relaxing at the beach resort enjoying the privacy of your room and enjoying the finest beaches of the Indian Ocean in the East African Coast.

Option: One of the days you will do the Mombasa City tour.

After breakfast you will drive to Mombasa for a half day city tour of this ancient town. You will have the chance to see the Hindu Temple, the Elephant tasks, the Fort Jesus and the Old Town and Port. If time permits you will also get the chance to visit Akamba Handicraft to witness how Curios are carved from scratch by the famous Akamba carvers. You will also have that chance to do your shopping in and around Mombasa. You will then go back to your beach hotel where you will relax for the rest of the day.

Day 11

Departure

Depending on your flight schedule spend time at leisure at the beach resort until time to transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.

This tour can be customized to include your stay at some more middle class accommodation options in order to bring down the costs a bit if that is what you wish. In case you are looking for a more deluxe treat also let us know and we shall tailor your package by including some even more deluxe lodges/hotels/tented camps.
