This short safari takes you to Tsavo East National Park which is a wildlife lovers and birders haven with more than 500 species of birds recorded. You expect with a little luck to see the big Five; Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes & Rhinos but also many other animals including zebras, gazelles, impalas, hippos, wildebeests, hyenas, wild dogs, giraffes and may others.

2 Days Kenya Safari starting from Mombasa Itinerary

Day 1

Mombasa / Diani Beach – Tsavo East

Pick up at around 06.00 Hrs if you are staying at a beach hotel / resort in Mombasa or Diani or 07.00 Hrs from a hotel / beach resort in Mombasa ( earlier if you staying at Malindi and Watamu), and we will set off towards the Tsavo East National Park along the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway with a brief stop coffee-stop on the way. Around 100 Km from Mombasa we arrive at the Gate where we register and access Tsavo East National Park via the Bachuma Gate from where you start the game drives straightaway on your way towards the seasonal Aruba dam. Lugard Falls where you will have your picnic lunch.

This say will be spent in the Tsavo East National Park in search of the many animals and birds found in this park with picnic lunch served at the famous Laggard falls located at the banks of River Galana where you expect to watch Nile crocodiles and hippos.

After the short lunch break at the picnic site you will continue with game drives around this ‘theater of the wild’ in search of the animals inkling Buffaloes, Cheetahs, elephants, Gazelles, leopards, lions, zebras among others until later in the afternoon around 06.00 Pm when you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2

Tsavo East Safari – Drive back to Mombasa

On this day you got all the flexibility and choice to go for an early morning game drive starting from 06.00 Hrs if you are an early riser and do not mind waking up early. Perfect time to watch the nocturnal animal species as they retire from a night out of hunting, it is also a good time to see even the diurnal species that mostly like to graze along the game driving tracks to avoid the morning dew.
At around 08.00 Hrs you will be taken back to your lodge where you will check out and head out with game viewing on your way out of the park and drive back to Mombasa city in the Kenyan coast. You may be dropped at Diani Beach or the Northern beaches of Watamu and Malindi depending on your plans. Transfer supplements apply according to your location.
