Accommodation at Base Camp Masai mara

The Base camp provides comfortable accommodations to tourists including family tents and double tents. The Basecamp has 17 spacious en-suite luxurious tents that are fitted with mosquito screens and found on raised wooden platforms. The raised platforms face the River Talek and the facilities that were fitted in these rooms include solar-heated showers, double or twin beds in the double rooms, a private deck, king-size beds, bio-flush toilets, and open-air showers.

The Basecamp is set up among trees and bushes lining up the Talek River and provides eco-friendly luxury accommodation to their guests. The 17 luxurious tented rooms at the camp were set up in a way that they offer ultimate privacy with calm and exquisite surroundings.

Room types at the camp include one family tent which faces the Talek River, 14 standard tents, and 2 honeymoon tents all having clear and great views of the Talek River. And although the camp is a budget-friendly facility, it still offers comfortable accommodation in the 17 tents.

Each double tent at the camp has two solar-heated showers, a king-sized double or twin beds depending on your choice, bio-flush toilets, a private deck, and a bathroom.

The family tent has two separate wings each with a double bed and shared bathroom. The tent also has a large balcony (deluxe type) that offers families or guests traveling as groups a private place to enjoy the views of the surrounding areas and the Talek River.

Dinner at the camp is a memorable one with some of the best international and local cuisines prepared by well-trained chefs at the camp’s restaurant. The restaurant is found right next to the Talek River and is a communal place for all guests where they enjoy their meals with views from the wildlife along the River and the surrounding areas. Guests are however requested to keep their phones in silent mode to avoid disrupting the peace of other guests and each person is required to respect whomever they find at the restaurant.

The communal lounge is a two-storey place with a dining area that is popular among guests, and a migration bar that serves several drinks like international beers, local beer, spirits, wines, and cocktails among others.
